Ubuntu 8.10 Beta Release available

Ubuntu 8.10 “Intrepid” is slated for its final stable release on 30th October, but if you don’t want to wait till then, you can download a beta (release candidate) from the Ubuntu website.
Ubuntu 8.10 comes with Linux kernel 2.6.27, the very latest version of GNome (2.24), X.org 7.4, encrypted private directory support, and many other new enhancements and package updates.
There are a list of known issues document on their download page as well. Do ensure you read thru that prior to downloading the beta release.
