A few months ago there was a lot of craze about FaceYourManga for the creation of online avatars. Twitter was swamped with manga-mania for a few weeks.

I guess the next wave will come from another tool called PhotoFunia.

PhotoFunia requires you to upload your image and then employs face detection technology to paste your face into a selected predefined image. This can lead to some cool effects. Here is one example that I created:
